The Grot slip collar was born from a simple frustration: the market was full of collars that looked the part but couldn't take the strain of everyday training with powerful breeds. So we built our own from scratch, by hand, using materials we'd stake our reputation on.
The Hardware: Every Grot is fitted with 100% cast brass components. Not brass-plated. Not pressed. Cast. This matters because cast brass delivers unrivalled structural strength, the kind that doesn't crack, warp or fail when it's asked to perform.
The Cord: We use premium paracord 550 type III, selected for its durability and its stunning range of colourways. Paracord is a material trusted in demanding environments for good reason, it holds, it flexes, and it handles whatever the British weather throws at it.
The Knot: The bull hitch knot is at the heart of every Grot. It's not there to be decorative it's a knot tied for one reason: it won't let go. When you're working your dog, you need to know your collar won't fail at the critical moment. The bull hitch is our guarantee that it won't that you just cant rely on thread in the same way.
The Thread: We finish every Grot with JZK 1500 Yard T70 69# Black Strong Bonded Nylon Sewing Thread a professional-grade, high-tenacity thread chosen because the finishing stitching on a working collar is not the place to economise. This thread is rot proof.
Suitable as a show collar, a training slip, a French collar or a dominance collar and a Grot collar. It is the choice for dog owners who understand that quality, once experienced, is impossible to compromise on. Every collar is handmade and we encourage Custom orders fo rthe perfect size.
Sizing, Please measure the largest point of your dogs head. Please note its always advisable to add a cm or 2 to allow for their ears when putting on and off.
